Golf and Cycle Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Your journey begins with a scenic boat cruise across Lake Wakatipu, with your tour guide and all bikes on board. We start riding beside the lake then head into tussock-covered mountain landscapes. The area has a wild and remote feel, with very limited vehicle access. We then transport you to your accommodation and have dinner at a top local restaurant.
  • Day 2 – You can choose to play the beautiful Te Anau Golf Course overlooking the lake, or take a cycle through native beech forests on the stunning Lake 2 Lake trail. We all meet up again at the clubhouse for a drink before taking you back for dinner.
  • Day 3 – Today we move to a new area. Golfers can play one of Queenstown’s most scenic local golf courses. Non-golfers can take a stroll or go for another ride on a fabulous trail beside the river. Both options are spectacular!
  • Day 4 – The cycling takes centre stage again today with a journey through an amazing river gorge. Follow the cycle trail as it weaves through the gorge, overlooking the lake and canyon walls. Then take a thrilling jet boat ride through the central canyon learning about the early gold mining history. We finish riding into our accommodation to rest and relax before a fantastic dinner.
  • Day 5 – Today you can either play golf at a beautiful country course set among rock formations beside the river, or ride along the river following a lovely flowing cycle trail which leads to the huge dam. We may have time to take a scenic walk up the Commissioner’s Track, overlooking the valley before meeting up with the golfers and heading back for dinner.
  • Day 6 –Today the golfers get to play one of the most famous courses in New Zealand, set beneath towering mountains and a spectacular lake. Alternatively you can enjoy one of favourite cycle trails which follows the lake edge around a stunning peninsula with 360 degree views. After a final late lunch together at a fabulous restaurant we drop you back at your accommodation in Queenstown around 5pm.
